1. The EU is not the same as the Schengen Area – the UK isn’t in the Schengen Area. We do control our borders.
  2. The EU is not the same as the Eurozone – the UK isn’t in the Eurozone. We do control our financial policies.
  3. The Council of Europe is bigger than the EU. One of the Council of Europe’s biggest tasks is promoting Human Rights. Leaving the EU wouldn’t mean leaving the Council of Europe.

They are all totally different and shouldn’t be taken as being the same thing.
